Day 3: Delphi - Kalambaka
Today you'll visit the archaeological site, and, the Museum of Delphi. Then we continue our journey to Kalambaka via Central Greece where we have a short stop in Lamia. We will stay overnight in Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, and the gateway to Meteora.

Day 4: Meteora - Athens
Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Meteora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage Monument list. The monasteries are perched on top of towers of sandstone, which for centuries provided totally inaccessible retreats for the monks and is considered to be one of the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece, and its monasteries are one of the country's most unique attractions. We then return to Athens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas of Sparta at Thermopylae.
Please note: To enter the monasteries, appropriate clothing is required. Ladies should not wear short skirts and must have long sleeves. Men are not allowed to wear shorts. We normally visit the Great Meteoro Monastey and St. Stefanos. Every Tuesday we will visit instead of Great Meteoro, the Varlaam monastery.
