Day 1: Porto, Portugal

Arrive into Porto and make your way to your ship for embarkation.  

A dream of granite that has become a city. In Porto, you will find new, exciting perspectives after every bend. Discover the shining azulejo facades on Church walls and townhouses, just a few of the landmarks of Portugal's second-largest city. The old town, which has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site, is pure poetry.

 Day 2: Porto - Régua - Pinhão

Depart Porto: 7:00am  |  Arrive Régua: 1:00pm  |  Depart Régua: 2:00pm  |  Arrive Pinhão: 5:00pm

Régua is the largest city on the banks of the Douro in this wine-growing valley. It is such a beautiful place that the Alto Douro region has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. The town played a fundamental role in the production and marketing of port wine, which was transported away by sailing boat, as early as the 18th century.

The little town of Pinhão is located in the famous port wine region, in the area where the Douro and its surrounding landscape are at their most picturesque. It is surrounded by enchanting vineyards and the quintas that produce the wine. You can visit them from Pinhão and enjoy tours and wine tasting. Overnight stay in Pinhão.

Day 3: Pinhão - Vega Terron, Spain

Depart Pinhão: 1:00pm   | Arrive Vega Terron: 7:00pm

Vega Terron is located along the Douro River in Spain and the gateway to the ancient city of Salamanca, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 4: Vega Terron - Barca d'Alva

Depart Vega Terron: 12:00pm  |  Arrive Barca d'Alva: 12:30pm

Barca d'Alva is a gateway to the walled town of Castelo Rodrigo and Spain's Salamanca. This tranquil town is shadowed by mountains and offers a peek into a sun-baked, slow-paced corner of Portugal, that is steeped in medieval history and surrounded by terraced vineyards and picturesque olive and almond groves.

Day 5: Barca d'Alva - Pocinho - Pinhão

Depart Barca d'Alva: 9:00am  |  Arrive Pocinho: 11:15am   |   Depart Pocinho: 12:15pm  |  Arrive Pinhão: 5:30pm

Leave Barca d'Alva behind this morning and journey to the small village of Pochinho. Your cruise then continues back to Pinhão, a lovely town in the heart of Port wine country, situated at the confluence of the Douro and Pinhão rivers in northern Portugal.

Day 6: Pinhão - Régua - Bitetos

Depart Pinhão: 7:00am  |  Arrive Régua: 9:00am   |   Depart Régua: 2:00pm  |  Arrive Bitetos: 6:30pm

This morning, cruise from Pinhão back to Régua. This town ran the world’s first demarcated wine region, resulting in Régua’s fortunes having been tied to this beverage for more than 250 years. After lunch, depart Régu and continue onto Bietos, a tiny port nestled in the Douro River valley.

Day 7: Bitetos - Porto

Depart Bitetos: 6:45am  |   Arrive Porto: 11:00am

Today, journey back to Porto, the second-largest city in Portugal and one of the Iberian Peninsula's major urban areas. This vibrant city is fast becoming one of Western Europe's most popular destinations.  This mesmerising city carved in granite will introduce you to exciting perspectives at every turn.

Day 8: Porto

After breakfast, disembark the ship. Make your own way to the airport for your departure flight.
