The Tour

This afternoon tour takes you to Delft and The Hague from Amsterdam, with a final stop at Madurodam. Start your tour in central Amsterdam and board the sightseeing coach for the roughly hour long drive south. On arrival, watch how Holland’s iconic blue-and-white Delft pottery is produced at Royal Delft, the only remaining earthenware factory from the Golden Age of the 17th century. View a large collection of Delft antiques at the museum and marvel at a likeness of Rembrandt's The Night Watch reproduced with original Delft blue tiles. With a bit of time to explore the historic city center independently, meander past landmarks such as the Oostpoort (Eastern Gate), Waag (Weigh House), Oude Kerk (Old Church) and Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Then meet back up with your guide for the drive to The Hague, considered the world’s judicial capital. There will be a tour of the city by coach of the former Netherlands capital. Next stop on the tour will be Madurodam. Reaching Holland's miniature city, where you can wander among miniature models of famous Holland attractions replicated in minute detail. See Amsterdam’s canal houses, the Alkmaar cheese market, spinning windmills and ships sailing through the harbor as well as the largest miniature railway in the world. After your half-day tour, depart for central Amsterdam in the evening.

Hop aboard your transport in central Amsterdam and settle in for the scenic journey out of the city to the Dutch countryside. En route to several North Holland villages, listen to your audio guide and learn about the passing sights, including dikes and polders—areas of land reclaimed from the water. Your first stop is at Zaanse Schans, a pretty town on the Zaan River and a popular destination due to its well-preserved windmills, some dating back to the 17th century. See evocations of traditional Dutch life at the historical shipyard, as well as iconic Holland windmills—entry into one is included with your tour. Next, continue to Volendam and Marken and admire a quaint scene of fishing boats and the occasional local wearing traditional Dutch dress. Discover Luxembourg City from the top of our open-top double-decker buses. We invite you to experience the most beautiful landmarks of our city. Hop on, hop off at any of our 10 City Sightseeing bus stops. Daily departures, every 20 minutes from 10am-6pm (weekends + public holiday until 8pm), from the “Boulevard de la Pétrusse” (just outside the bank “Spuerkees”). You can also buy your ticket on-site at the departure point, or at the Constitution Square ("Place de la Constitution").
