I’m sorry our situation might have been the catalyst for Alan’s dismissal but it seriously undermined my confidence in the product for a while. I do appreciate difficulties with ideal staff especially when you have the pressure of servicing travel agents!

I apologise to not writing to you earlier but things have been busy since arriving back in the country. I would like to say thank you for helping get our trip to Belarussia and Russia organised and especially the follow up calls re: change in our hotel in Moscow. The hotel Russia was in 'the' heart of Moscow and could not possibly have been any closer to the main attractions which was an awesome boost for us.
Both of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had many adventures which could not have been planned so was lots of fun. The highlights for us were St Petersburg and Brest, St Petersburg because of the canals, winter palace, night-life etc.., we went on a 'Peters Walking Tour' which is highly recommended. We liked Brest because of the Fortress and because it was a more provincial and 'communisty' town, we felt like we had stepped back about 20 years and were in the Russia we had imagined rather than the modern tourist attractions like Moscow. If I was to go back again soon it would probably be to Belarussia, but we like places that are more off the beaten track.
For the rest of our trip we liked Sighisoara in Romania, Tatra Mountains in Slovakia, Warsaw and most of Turkey, we took nearly 3000 digital photos so if you want a shot of anything in particular we will probably have one.

My husband and I are now back home from our 7 week tour of America, Europe and Asia and especially wanted to inform you of the tour we booked with you to Russia, Baltics and Warsaw - as per information below.

Firstly thank you again for your excellent tour arrangements - everything went exceptionally well.

The tour was absolutely fantastic, we enjoyed it immensely. From the moment we arrived in Moscow airport we were met by a driver who drove us to the Marriott Hotel. We arrived there about 6am, and after waiting a short time, we were offered breakfast in the hotel and shown to our room, where we were able to freshen up and unpack. The standard of the
5* hotel was excellent, we felt like royalty.
The arrangements to meet up with our tour leader and other guests at 6pm in the foyer was great. We had a chance to meet Pawel and acquaint ourselves with our fellow passengers. After a delicious dinner we settled for the night ready to enjoy the next 13 days of our tour.
Every bit of the itinerary we enjoyed very much, the history of the countries, the city guides, the hotels, food was excellent.
The tour operator Pawel was exemplary. He was friendly, reliable, honest, helpful, well organized, on time and had a wicked sense of humour. He made us laugh lots. His English was excellent and his knowledge of each city was unbelievable. The dates and important facts he explained to us was mind blowing. He would explain in detail interesting facts and everything that was asked of him he delivered in a friendly and punctual manner. He was an excellent tour leader and made many friends on this trip. Equally Pawel the driver did a fantastic job of getting us out and on time to each city. His driving skills were excellent, and at all times we felt safe and secure in the knowledge that he had his passengers safety at heart every time. We all had immense confidence in him.
I could go on and on - but I think it is enough to say that everything, from the time we arrived in Moscow to the time we departed in Warsaw after 13 days, was memorable, remarkable and unforgettable.
We have made many friends on this tour, who we will keep in touch with via email, and ofcourse 100's of photos to remind us of the excellent time we had. So once again thank you for organizing this trip and we highly recommend it to anyone who has a sense of adventure.

Dear Chip,
We only returned from overseas just prior to Christmas & we have been extremely busy ever since, otherwise we would have contacted you earlier.

We are contacting you for two reasons.
The first is to say thank you for organising our visit to Romania from 12/10 to 11/10 2007.
It was a truly fascinating 10 days & we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The highlight was without a doubt our visits to the “Painted Monasteries” & some of the smaller villages with their walled (fortressed) churches & all the while travelling through an unspoiled countryside.

The way in which you were able to combine the 2 tours (Traditional Romania & Unesco Monasteries) that you promote into one was a total success & we are most grateful, thankyou again.
The second reason for contacting you is to congratulate the driver/guide that was appointed to take us on this tour. His name was Alexandar – we may not have the spelling correct – who did a really great job. He was a young University student with excellent English & really knew the history & geography of Romania as well as any scholar.
We would like to send him & his Romanian employer a short thankyou by e-mail but we only have phone & fax numbers for Karpaten Turism which will not suffice.
Can you help in this regard please?

We have shown many of our Romanian photos to friends & family who travel o/s regularly & we are sure that more than a few will avail themselves of your travel service.

Can I pass on a compliment to Eastern Eurotours? I know that it's hard in these times of currency fluctuations, but at least you gave us warning that you were about to make the update - Value Tours have just flung the altered rates at me and told me to collect extra from the clients (several thousand in some cases!). Thank you for giving my clients the opportunity to pay their original invoices.
